2002

Stayed in housing at Valley Baptist Academy. Feed noon meals by Baptist Men of Texas.

Performed ministry work in Progresso.

´╗┐While Rodney McGlothlin was at a planning meeting in the valley that year, a call came from Irma Cantu asking that Lasara be included in the program. Rodney met with Irma, the high school principle, and the school superintendent. At that time, no ministry work was being done in Willacy County. Rodney asked that we be assigned to LaSara the next year.

2003

Marked the first year FBC started going to LaSara. Lasara Independent School District offered the school facilities including the cafeteria, and the community center for our use. VBS, sewing classes, sports camps, clothes distribution, home building and repair, dental clinic, medical services, and a block party were included in the program.

Steve Rodgers began serving noon and evening meals by using the school facilities. Over 100 people have been served at times by Steve and his crew.

2006

Trinity Baptist Church, Harker Heights, Texas and Elkins Lake Baptist Church, Huntsville, Texas joined us in the work at Lasara.

2013

Request came to include San Isidro in our ministry program. FBC Bryan sent a team to help us in Lasara and San Isidro and have since adopted San Isidro.

2016

Request by two people at the same time, asking us to consider starting a ministry in Sebastin.

2017

Some of our team, along with two people from Calvary Fellowship in Bryan (Gary Balmain, Ronnie White) met with some people in the Sebastin and are considering assuming responsibility for a start up ministry in Sebastin.
