SUNDAY EVENING DISCIPLESHIP CLASS PREVIEWS

COME AND PREVIEW OUR SPRING CLASSES AT 6PM IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL!

  • 1 THESSALONIANS - LED BY: DAVID STRAWN

Dr. Strawn will lead an in-depth study of Paul's first letter to the believers in Thessalonica, one of his first letters to the churches. Over the course of the eight study sessions, students will discover the background to the letter, the issues among the believers that Paul wanted to address, and some vital encouragement for Christ-followers about Jesus' return. Looking forward to having a group ready to read and study this vital letter among those written by the apostle Paul.

  • JOSEPH: CHALLENGE, INTEGRITY, & FAVOR - LED BY: TROY ALLEN

A 10 week study exploring and examining the life of Joseph. We will learn about God’s work in a man who went from the tar pits to the palace of Egypt. We will also learn how God’s grace leads to redemption. Each week class members will read a selection of Scripture and respond to a list of 6-8 questions pertaining to the text in preparation for class discussion.

  • MAKING SENSE OF THE STORY OF SCRIPTURE - LED BY: THAD DOUGLASS

Looking at who, what and where across the Bible to better understand one unified story of redemption from Genesis to Revelation.

  • SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES FOR THE CHRISTIAN LIFE - LED BY: PAIGE ALLEN

This class will use the book Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life by Donald Whitney. The ten spiritual disciplines covered in the book include Bible intake, prayer, worship, evangelism, serving, stewardship, fasting, silence and solitude, journaling, and learning. Homework will include reading the chapter assigned for that week and carrying out a “practice” exercise in the discipline area. We’ll follow up each Sunday with some discussion/sharing and teaching. This class is a fit for those who want to explore new rhythms in their daily walk to help them go deeper with the Lord.

  • LET’S PRAY - LED BY: GREG DUEWALL

"...for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

  • EXPERIENCING GOD - LED BY: CALEB TROUTT

God is at work around you. Will you join Him? Over the years, God has used the truths of Experiencing God to awaken believers to a radically God-centered way of life. The result is that you will come to know God intimately, to recognize His voice, and to understand His will for your life. God is inviting you to experience Him in an intimate relationship through which He reveals to you His will, His ways, and His work.
