I Want to Trust You, but I Don't(Ladies only) - Led By Cami Wade In a fallen world with imperfect people, trust is often broken. Our human relationships are the primary lens through which we begin to understand our relationship with God. But if we’ve learned that we cannot trust people, how can we trust Him? Through this Bible study we will uncover God’s unchanging character and His proven faithfulness throughout history. Together we will explore how to heal from broken trust, how to separate God’s perfection from human failure, and how to anchor our hearts in His promises. We will learn that while people may fail us, God never will—and that trusting Him is the foundation for peace, freedom, and lasting hope.
Paul’s Salvation Teachings - Led By David Strawn In his letter to the believers in Rome, Paul went into great detail to explain how God brings people into right relationship with Him. The multi-cultural nature of the Roman church created a unique challenge for Paul, and he carefully explained God’s plan for people of all backgrounds in these chapters. They are filled with deep teachings that we will explore over 10 weeks. There is a companion book for those who want it Romans for Everyone, Part 1 by Dr. N.T. Wright, but it is not required for the class.
The Pursuit of Holiness - Led By Mike Shipp “Be holy, for I am holy,” commands God to His people. But holiness is something that is often missed in the Christian’s daily life. Many Christians are confused about their role in bringing about holiness. This study will help us see clearly just what we should rely on God to do―and where we need to accept the responsibility to discipline ourselves toward godliness. Whether you are just beginning your pursuit of holiness or continuing your journey, these timeless principles and guidelines will challenge you to joyfully obey God’s command.
Tell Me the Stories of Jesus (Ladies only) - Led By Kathy Strawn For some, this title evokes thoughts and images of stories about Jesus' life. Our study, however, will center on stories Jesus told to others. Jesus used these stories, known as parables, to reveal spiritual truths about God, the kingdom of God, repentance, mercy, judgment, and discipleship. Each session, we will take 2-3 of Jesus' parables to study and to find out what Jesus wants us to know more personally about these topics.
Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life - Led By Troy Allen This study of spiritual disciplines encourages us to discover practical biblical habits. The insight on spiritual disciplines you encounter will challenge you to grow in new ways as a Christian. Through practical suggestions for cultivating spiritual growth you will dive into practices such as: Absorbing Scripture, Prayer, Worship, Evangelism, Serving, Fasting, Silence and Solitude, Journaling, and more.
