We are known as the Collins Class. Roxann Collins is the teacher. The members are friendly and supportive of each other. We use the Connect 360 Bible series for our lessons. The teaching style is lecture with member interaction as often as possible. Come visit us in Room 1000. We would love to meet you!
Rita Moyes serves as the lecturer/leader but the class is very interactive with lively discussions. All women are welcome but the majority of the class ranges from the 70s to 90s in age and we are composed of widows, divorced, married and single women. We use the connect 360 teaching guide and have an ongoing and robust prayer chain!
Our current Connect 360 training material is about Sacred Life borrowing excerpts from both the Old and New Testaments. The focus is on the evils of abortion. This quarterly ends on September 8. The new quarterly begins on September 15th and consists entirely of passages from the Book of Ephesians. All study material is from the GC2 Press.
In the Winder/3:16 class, we learn from each other; pray for each other; minister to each other, and beyond. Dr. Joel Bratcher is our Bible study leader, using an inductive Bible study method with lots of discussion. We study one book of the Bible at a time, verse by verse.
The Hennings' Class is for couples and singles in their 40's, 50's or 60's. Our class focuses on understanding and applying scripture, and connection, with fellowships throughout the year. We have a mix of lecture and discussion with more of the latter.
For married, singles, ranging from folks with toddlers to empty nesters. We’re a discussion/dialogue class using the Lifeway Explore the Bible material. We support the Food Pantry on the first Monday of the month. We also have several staff members and volunteers in this class, and we also have some international Kingdom members. We meet in room 2010, come join in the discussion!
We're a young marrieds and families group! We use a quarterly material in a lecture/discussion type format but do topical studies during the summer.
Our class can best be summed up with the word community. It is an incredibly diverse collection of folks from all walks of life. It is teenagers to seniors; singles to couples; no kids to grandkids. It is a community that delights in one another, who come to study God’s word, who grow in grace and who make Sunday School a fun and enjoyable time together.
